Almost all associations that society carries in relation to the bruise are negative. Could a bruise ever be enjoyed? Or perhaps even celebrated? I would like to challenge our misinterpretations of these marks, and give them alternative representation and significance.

The rhythm and repetition in the appearance, disappearance, and reappearance of these marks mirrors the act of passion during which they are made.
